Who is the Pennsport String Band?
The Pennsport String Band was formed in 2007 and features members with decades of experience in the Philadelphia Mummers Parade and Mummers association. Known for playing traditional Mummer favorites, the band connects with fans throughout the Delaware Valley. Pennsport has been a musical home for lifelong Mummers and newcomers experiencing Mummery for the first time. We look forward to continuing our tradition of musicianship and celebrating this music that has been the soundtrack of Philadelphia for over a century.
